Pride Foundation Grant
Common Ground Community Chorus is excited to have received a $2000.00 grant from the Pride Foundation. The grant is for the purchase of a wireless microphone system that will help the choir reduce operating expenses along with providing the capability to perform new venues! With the help of a generous donation from Martron Electronics we were able to purchase the system at little cost to the choir.
The Pride Foundation, Idaho chapter does great work and Common Ground Community Chorus is honored to be one of their 2011 grant recipients. Read the Idaho chapters year end blog published earlier this month.
National Memorial Day Choral Festival
Common Ground Community Chorus is pleased to announce we have been invited and accepted to perform at the National Memorial Day Choral Festival at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, May 25 - 28, 2012.
Not merely a festival for Washington, the National Memorial Day Choral Festival is an event for the entire country - a major event which seeks to draw the attention of Americans to the real meaning of the holiday: Honoring the men and women who have served, and died, to preserve our liberties.
The choir is very excited about this incredible opportunity and will be putting together various fund raising activities to help support our members. More details to follow.
